Lots of minerality, smells of petrol. Interesting yeasty undertones. Great for sipping, be cautious pairing with foods — 4 months ago
2019 Took some time to open but good nose and ruby colour excellent structure in mouth with good balance of berry flavours acidity and tannins
Had at a new Italian restaurant called Civico 47 which used to be Lucio’s for 35 odd years, old Lucio would be happy it’s still a high quality Italian restaurant.Just announced as WS wine no. 24 in 2024 top 100 — 6 months ago

Blend of 38% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot and 8% Other Red Grapes, deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits with herb and toasty oak notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke, tar and sweet herb spice. This is a full-bodied red that wraps thickly over the palate, showing rich density and concentration along the way. Fine tannins, long finish ending with ripe fruit and toasty earthy oak character. — 9 months ago
Paired with brisket. Yum! Better the second day; give it some time to open. — 2 months ago
Wonderful wine! Dry as the Sahara desert, complex nose, cherry, herbs, very small touch of citrus. Long lasting on the palette. Paired beautifully with a crispy duck leg confit — 5 months ago

Paired with Bolognese sauce. Nice wine with food. 2022 vintage - really should have been decanted first. Solid depth and good fruit. Tannins hit up front a bit too much. — 3 months ago
Very good Rosso di Montalcino! Especially with hard cheese and Italian bread! Would also be great with pasta, grilled meats, etc al. Just okay as a sipping wine but comes alive with food!Cherries, brambley fruits, low tannins, good qpr especially as compared to Brunello! — 5 months ago
Deep ruby color.
Aromas of red fruit, baked raspberry spice.
Dry. Flavors of baked cherry/raspberry, spice, cocoa. Medium-rich, velvety tannins.
