I loved the 2010 so couldn’t wait to try the €66 2009 that I nabbed from @gabymeetswine @vilaviniteca 😁 Again in a lovely box & a delicious wine that’s softer than the 2010 but yumbags 👍 If you want oomph (I’m talking slap on the bottom) go 2010 if you want elegance (Like a silky butt massage) go 2009 😉

This wine is a little more than two-thirds Albariño rounded out by Caiño Blanco and Loueira, two grapes from the northwestern Iberian peninsula. It has a lovely golden-green hue and a brisk nose of stone fruit, Meyer lemon and flowers. The palate shows those qualities plus a hefty load of minerals and acidity, enough to make oysters a great idea. — 8 years ago
Enjoyed along with best Iberian ham, Manchego 🧀 & Catalan tomato/olive oil bread - divine & @ €125 - 😍 Barcelona in our living room ❤️

Reduction on the nose, Sulfur turns to smokiness.
Delicate palate with expressive, deep flavours of fresh berries, cranberries and a beautiful complexity. Meaty, almost animal . A volcanic, smoky finish. Surprisingly refreshing !!! Worth trying over a couple of days.
With seared tuna, pot au feu, pata negra or Iberian ham...

100% Alvarelhão. Had to look this one up- an Iberian port grape, grown in Alta Mesa, SE of Napa. 12.5%. 100% spontaneous fermentation, 100% stems, 20 day maceration. all stainless. Hipster level is off the charts. FH continues to slay. — 7 years ago

Part of the light port selections we had while on Iberian peninsula. Clean and refreshing and we actually preferred these ports v any sherry we tasted. Light sugar taste but refined. Needs to be served cold and the dessert needs to be light. — 9 years ago
The 2001 Clos Mogador was stunning aged drank in 2017 but this 2013 @ £65, now £80-£100 as a 98 Parker pointer, has massive potential 😁 Beautiful now but give this 10+yrs & you have a fab priced 98+ point wine in the making 😍 28k bottles so buy if you can 👍

Great old school Iberian. — 7 years ago
Was decent upon opening, but after spending two days in the wine fridge, recorked, and accompanied by spicy food, it was delicious. Less acidic than many Iberian wines. — 7 years ago

Bought a bottle at a little ham and cheese boutique in Seville. Goes really well with some Iberian uncured ham with a baguette. — 8 years ago
Another delicious Iberian White, this one from Spain and made by the highly reputable Telmo Rodriguez. Produced from 40 year old Verdejo vines. Aromatic with floral notes and pineapple juice. On the palate textural with rich nutty flavours and notes of tropical fruit salad. Drink now. Great to see a screw cap. — 9 years ago
