A testament to what a great producer can do in a less than stellar vintage. Medium garnet color with a small ruby core and slight brick rim. Aromas of macerated red fruit, dried herbs and wood smoke. Flavors of dark cherries, dried tarragon, basil and sage, and smoky vanilla. Touch of minerality on the long and lingering finish with ample acidity. Extremely savory and complex. In its prime. 少しガーネット色。もう少し甘さのある感じかと思いきや、結構ドライというか冷涼感のある味わいで、すごく繊細で透明感のある印象。
かと言って、厳格かとかタイトかと言われたらそんなことはなく、すごく優美でスムーズな感じ。
ホワイトペッパーや、白い花、ドライフラワー。

エリオアルターレのバローロ アルボリーナ2014の雰囲気にかなり近い。
グラーチがバローロのコレクターらしいし、実際に味わい的にもベンチマークとしているのかも。

Incredibly elegant with super smooth tannins.

Great expressive fruit that mixes some cranberry, raspberry and cherry.

Preserved it for a week with argon and it shined both at first open and a week later.
