Spicy, crunchy red fruit on the nose. All cranberry, raspberry, with some smoke and minerality with some hints of natural wine musk. Color is super light and pale, cranberry like red, with a light body and a beautiful, fruit punch of a palate. Flavor lingers for a loooong time, fresh with nicely integrated minerality, a little tartness in there, but dry, with all that juicy fruit, with that same kinda volcanic, smoky element skulking in the background. Great chilled, easy drinking juice that punches way over its weight class! — 4 months ago
Great wine even though it didn’t hold up to my memories of former vintages, maybe because it’s a rare wine in its class that’s both excellent but drinks better young. It shed its primary character and left behind some ginger, vegetal tomato leaf and a silky texture with a long finish, driven by very prominent phenolic bitterness. Drinks like an austere high-quality white Bordeaux without the oak, but I miss the vibrant fruitiness and stronger Italian quality I get in its youth — 5 months ago
Always enjoyable with pear and apple notes. Opening wine for SJOS Tasting I hosted — 2 years ago
Medium ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits and elegant hints of floral. On the palate flavors of black cherry, raspberry and plum with hints of fig and tobacco. Tannins are fine and round, a tad young with high acidity noted. The finish is medium, smooth and ends with oak and earthy mineral notes. Very nice. Needs time. — 5 years ago

Cherry, strawberry, watermelon, peach and lemon. Great acidity and minerality. — 9 months ago
I’ve bought this bottle probably 8 times now. I love it. For me, on the nose it gives off a smell of straw, oak and fruit. It is mid-light weight. — 4 years ago
Tart black cherry, anise, pine and alpine vibes, high acidity, low spicy tannins.
A beautiful Cali Barbera with the acidity and spice of Piemonte, with the high toned fruit of California sunshine. I love! — 5 years ago

ワイン見聞録福袋のイタリア赤、2018年もの。市中価格は税別8900円とのこと。ドメニカドーロでいただいたが強いもののカドの立たない酸のおかげか結構な万能食中酒。それでいて充分濃いのがまたすごい。 — 6 months ago
