Nicely aromatic & quite ethereal with ripe dark damson plum boosted by aniseed and fleur d’oranger. Some tart cherry, too. Sweet yet savoury with a mineral, dusty core underneath. Enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate, with firm, dusty, fine tannins, framing a nice core of dark cherry and bright super fresh acidity. A hint of wet earth, a hint of baking spice towards the finish.
This is drinking beautifully right now and hinting at something more complex than just a usual sip. All the elements come together, not seamlessly but with really interesting edges. .

Sipping Fine Wine

Medium ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits and elegant hints of floral. On the palate flavors of black cherry, raspberry and plum with hints of fig and tobacco. Tannins are fine and round, a tad young with high acidity noted. The finish is medium, smooth and ends with oak and earthy mineral notes. Very nice. Needs time. — 4 years ago

Blend of blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico and 5% Minnella, aged in French oak for 10 months. Pale lemon with aromas of stone and citrus fruits adding honeysuckle blossom. Medium ruby with quite narrow terracotta , garnet rim. Cut herbs , raspberry, dried red cherry , dried rose , slightly smoky note and a basalt , stony hint. On the palate quite rounded and ripe with some red focused sweet sous bois , raspberry coulis and dried herbs , anis , dried herbs . Alcohol does stick out a bit with medium quite rounded sweet tannin , with just balanced acidity . Reasonable anis , black tea and dried herb finish . This is at the end of its drinking window but still showing quite well . Drink now , and I would recommend serving at a relatively cool temperature — 10 months ago
