Very elegant Cabernet from Washington. — 4 months ago
2023 vintage. Lovely — 5 months ago
The nose shows classic BdM aromas of dried cherry, rose petal, steeped black tea, tobacco, and a whisper of balsamic. Yet on the palate its tart acidity overwhelmed, and the nimble structure is more inline with CC than a BdM.
Not bad, but I certainly expected much more.

Classic Besucastel! I first visited this property in 1987, and the Brett character was unmistakeable. This 1990 is aging extremely well. Strong Brett aromas, but the fruit is also strong and in balance. If you are one that thinks Brett is an unforgivable flaw, you will hate this. Great Chateauneuf from a great vintage! Celebrating my son’s 33rd birthday tonight (1993 wasn’t a great vintage in CdP!) with a perfectly grilled NY steak. I am very pleased with this wine — 18 days ago

Beautiful bottle of 1993 Conti! Still carrying fruit and is peppy!! Aged in great conditions so she is elegant, aged red fruits, earthy with light raisins. This wine has solid tannins and acidity but I would drink now. She’s likely a bit past her prime but still a great wine!! Enjoy!! — 8 days ago

Catch up from a wine dinner last month. Another rare treat on an evening of many new experiences. So muscular. Still very young, waiting to uncoil, but delicious nevertheless. — a month ago
Notes from memory after many months - just remember this was beautifully integrated and singing after 14 years. I’m a huge fan of this Rhône Négociant and producer; consistently excellent. #vinsobres — 9 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2018 “Il Rosso delle Donne” pours a garnet color color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry, mustard seed, fennel, horse blanket, a touch of truffle, dried green herbs, a mix of organic and inorganic earth and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Giving Pommard vibes…in the best of ways. Drink now with some patience through 2048+. — 4 days ago
