Franken is a dry wine oriented region and the wines are as unique and characterful as their traditional flagon shaped bottles. Michael Fröhlich in Escherndorf is a top VDP grower in the top rated Lump. Fresh, clean, ripe, balanced “modern” style wines that clearly express their terroir, but almost any Franconian VDP grower will not disappoint. — 5 years ago
