On the palate, lovely acidity, a touch of bitter medicine, earth and tree bark, then red raspberry, pepper. Medium bodied, and soft but very finely grained tannin on the finish. Rich, unctuous and concentrated dry Riesling, but - kudos to the 2008 acidity - by no means flabby. Great tension, slatey minerals and deep orange fruit notes (tangerine, peach and guave). A very delicate hint of savoury crustaceans really adds to the complexity! Beautiful wine. — 8 years ago

Pinot Noir. A beautiful discovery here. Individual, mineral and straight in style. Riesling varietal character doesn't come through obviously. Aromatically evoking more Muscat Blanc a petits grains with notes of rose, preserved orange, musk and spices. The floral tone is the link leading towards Riesling. Mid palate onwards the slatey, mineral and floral/wooded notes take over revealing the greatness of Riesling. — 10 years ago
