Definitely a wine that needs to be served closer to room temperature than the fridge and let breathe just a bit. Complex bouquet comes alive as it warms with key lime pie, caramel apples, white flowers, and Chantilly cream underlaid by chalky marl aromas. Awesome, but then again, you expect that in this price range from a premier cru. — 7 months ago
2014 vintage. Last tasted 07.04.25 (9.3) and 01.30.25 (9.3). Decanted with some sed and tasted after 30 mins. Consistent with previous tastings in 2025. Hint of richness up front, then very businesslike afterwards. Fairly dry but began to fold a modicum of fruit into the proceedings a spell ago. Quintessential, affordable BDX with a decade of service tendered out in the boonies but back in town again and starting to hit the hot spots. Lean but not mean. Strike up the conversation in the next year or so and you two just might hit it off. 09.25.25. — 8 months ago
Tasting lunch at Au Fil de Zinc in Chablis. First experience with Maconnais. Good Chardonnay, with floral notes. — 9 months ago
Lots of exotic fruit - passion fruit - big, round, expressive — a year ago
I think I’m drinking this too young. It’s fairly saturated and very pure and beautiful wild blackberry fruit. No pyrazines. I would give this another few years in the cellar. Popping half bottle in the fridge and expecting it to be excellent tomorrow. edit: skipped day two and drank on day three. Herbs. Purity of fruit. This is 🔥 — 7 months ago

Well if you live in San Diego. The only ‚real’ place to get your Burgh fix in San Diego is at the Meritage Wine Market in Encinitas. They know because they will try these. This bottle was not priced yet they asked me to sample it. Super elegant and perfectly balanced. Young, very coiled. The power is there but hiding. Yuzu, pear, hint herabceous, jasmine, chalk. Will be >100$ for sure. This producer just knocks it out of the park for both the whites and reds. — 7 months ago
A lovely wine that is drinking very lovely right now. I personally like 14.5% wines vs the big jammy versions for their balance so this fits my tastes perfectly. Very glad I bought a futures case back in the day. Enjoy sooner rather than later. Cheers! — 7 months ago
Great minerality. Exactly what it should be. — 8 months ago
When Lafon is on they’re as good as any name in white Burgundy. 2012 Genevrieres is superb after sufficient air, seamlessly balanced between richness and elegance and perfectly developed wafting waves of defined fruit, pastry cream, butterscotch and toasted almonds within its layered minerality. It wraps around the palate with killer concentration and density and a massively long, silky finish. Top tier Chardonnay. — 10 months ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
Quite mineral driven and spritzy the first day. Mellowed out after 18 hours. Meyer lemon, yes i have these in my garden, jasmine on the back palate, and…. white peach. Again sadly 100$+. But i think folks should try these types of wines to know what quality white Burghs are about - and then give it a rest - if you are not hooked. — 6 months ago
