From one of the absolute best sites in Chassagne, the ‘22 vintage and third vintage from Theo Dancer is expectedly superb, and the sunny and impeccably located La Romanée vineyard is profoundly textural, satiny and incisive with a particularly citrusy profile with freshly baked bread and chalky minerality. This is of course, still very young and is without a doubt built to age. — a year ago
Good and very cherry but not as much as some other younger wines. Not sure if I like this more than the other higher end petite sirahs of theirs. — 6 years ago
A great entry level wine. — 8 years ago
Just a baby. Great acidity, dark fruit and a wee bit o funk — 10 years ago
Can we talk about this label? Who is this for? Anyway, this wine is a stark contrast to the 2012 Tribut. Not particularly noticing the step up in pedigree, which is maybe 2013's fault. Very tropical and soft, quite expressive but I miss some minerality. Not bummed to be drinking it though. Bus hang in Gateshead — 10 years ago

2011. Crisp green apple flavors predominate. Very fresh with good acidity. — 12 years ago
Bright ruby color. Aromas of red berry fruit, violets, wood smoke and wet soil. Flavors of red cherries and currants with additional notes of cooked mushrooms, baking spices and coffee. Medium bodied but a bit short on the mid-palate. Silky tannins and light acidity. Part of Kevin Zraly’s 2025 Red Burgundy Master Class. — 8 months ago

Lovely and aging well. Very smooth and bright with cherry notes but not overly so. Earthly and interesting but still light. — 6 years ago
Seriously addicting. Like licking the salt off a shellfish. — 8 years ago
Great stone fruit flavors. Touch of oak on the finish — 10 years ago
Incredibly floral, well balanced, full bodied — 11 years ago
This was a monster out of the gate and held its own. Really impressed. Shows age but not softness. Elegant, open, beeswaxy, beautiful — 12 years ago
Lychees and red berries, bright, fresh, some acid with a delicious brininess. A beautiful natural cloudy orange/ rosé vin. — 8 months ago
Dancer’s Perrieres vines are sandwiched in between the great Roulot and Lafon, and his 2013 Perrieres is a stunner. There is so much depth to this wine and it’s about so much more than just reduction. It’s detailed, complex and layered with yellow fruit and stony minerals with superb density and inner mouth tension. It’s powerful and intense but its weight is so lifted and the freshness of the vintage keeps it impeccably well balanced. There is a line of pulsating acidity and exhilarating energy on the palate that leads to an explosively long finale. — 5 years ago
