I’d honestly forgotten that Sauvignon Blanc can have personality. This is the second in a week that’s made my brain tingle. Accented by pronounced viscosity and texture are ripe juicy orchard fruits - the softest pears and ripe red delicious thick skinned apples. — 5 years ago
A lovey little French Chenin with a light body, slightly off dry and some zippy acidity. Lemons, chamomile and a hint of honey on the nose transition nicely into a palate of yellow apple, lemon peel and a touch of cream. Enthusiastic finish. Beautifully done. — 7 years ago
2005 vintage. At Cheval Blanc for dinner with Olivier, Pierre Lurton's young dynamic wine maker. Deep ruby hue. Very youthful, dark plum and stewed prune, savoury spice, leather tan, old wood spice. On the palate, silky satin texture, medium acidity, medium plus body and alcohol. Lots of fine tannins here. Great concentration and long finish. Excellent but still a baby with a Porsche Turbo engine. Drink 2025-2050+. 95 points — 8 years ago
A very good wine. With a great nose. — 9 years ago
What a treat! Crisp, not acidic, fantastically easy drinking. Variety of apple notes, green & gold. Mild floral. Paired with rosemary crackers and aged white cheddar. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2017 / delicious and true to type sauvignon from Touraine with a good spine, minerality in smell ánd taste. The vintner has one of the most beautiful French names: Pierre-Olivier Bonhomme, which means good man. After tasting this wine on the tongue I can only agree. For sure. / Paired for lunch with a Fishburger — 6 years ago

PYCM 2015 Horizontal
Slightly greenish in the beginning. Develops with vivid ripe fruit: exotic and citrus. Minerality of crushed rocks. Oily texture. Extroverted character of Garenne terroir with light soil offering more finesse.
La Garenne is ‘domaine’ cru. Belonged to an aunt, who previously sold the grapes to Olivier Leflaive. Vines are 65+ years old.
This wine will shine many years ahead, but already approachable. — 7 years ago
Vibrant and bright with floral notes and light mineral citrus. — 7 years ago
