Saint-Bris “Chenevières” Sauvignon Blanc 2022 Chablis, Burgundy, France 🇫🇷
Reims, Champagne, France 🇫🇷
Overview A vintage Champagne crafted from 50% Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier and 50% Chardonnay, showing the elegance and character of the superb 2018 harvest in Reims. A balanced Brut at 10 g/L dosage, it reflects both richness and freshness, with solid aging potential.
Aromas & Flavors On the nose, vibrant lemon zest, crisp apple, and bergamot with green tea accents. With aeration, deeper notes of peony, cherry, biscuit, redcurrant, and honey unfold. The palate is expressive, velvety, and savory, with ripe fruit, fine bubbles, and layered complexity.
Mouthfeel Rounded yet energetic, with vinous character and supple mousse. Richness from dosage is perfectly balanced by tension and freshness on the finish. Built to age, but already seductive now.
Winemaking Notes Produced only in high-quality vintages, with a focus on extended lees aging. The 2018 vintage in Champagne was marked by ideal conditions—hot, dry summer with ripe grapes, yielding wines of both concentration and precision.
Food Pairing A gourmet’s Champagne: pairs beautifully with sweet & sour canapés, exotic lightly spiced cuisine (roast hake with turmeric sauce, poultry kebabs), and can even stand up to richer flavors like black pudding with pineapple.
Verdict A vintage Champagne of elegance and personality—expressive, velvety, and complex. A connoisseur’s favorite, with years of life ahead but irresistible today. 🥂✨ — 19 days ago
This was a gift from a friend. Modern style but no excess. Great fruit, civilised tannins, good length. Very polished finish. Good stuff. — a month ago
Crisp with balanced acidity at the beginning, but opened up with beautiful vanilla notes as the chill wore off. No trace of oaky at all! Love this type of Chardonnay! — 7 months ago
Chalk, seashell, green apple and green gooseberries. Some lily and honeysuckle. And white pepper on the finish. Powerful, tensely coiled, with screaming acid. Not super approachable now but serious wine that should age well. — 4 years ago
