Very nice white recommended by Dawn. Rich and smooth like a Chardonnay but not oaky — 10 years ago
One of the better Cour-Cheverny wines I've tasted: a statement that says everything but also nothing. Less unpleasantly oxidative than Daridan, more interesting than de Montcy and Cazin and at much frendlier price than Henri Marionnet. For the money I think this is the best that's out there-- Golden apple skin, celery, tarragon. — 11 years ago

love this rare grape, lots of minerality — 8 months ago
Not sure the @Delectable Wine identification is correct because I don’t know if “Cabriole” is a different cuvée than the regular Cheverny. But close enough, I guess. This is a Pinot blend with a little Gamay, I think. Really exuberant nose has tons of ripe, lively red berry and sappy cherry fruit, limestoney minerality, and a little wet loam earthiness. High-toned and fruity in the mouth, it’s a fun drink, with zingy acids and just about zero tannin. Worked well with a chicken and artichoke casserole. — 3 years ago
Really love her wines. Lovely fruit and great depth to go along with it. — 10 years ago
Slightly funky raspberry and floral notes with a deep crackling minerality underneath. — 11 years ago

Amazing white wine made from Romorantin grapes which visually looks like it’s 3-5 years old, at most, this grape variety is related to Chardonnay, but WAY drier, the entire appellation is 120 acres/48 hectares in the Loire valley, really a super unique wine that apparently will age almost forever, mineral, loads of acidity, needs food (which I don’t have in front of me — waaah!!), longish finish!! As an aside, there is a great Loire chateau to visit in this area, called Chateau de Cheverny, which is still lived in/occupied, but is well worth a visit!! Really amazing wine!! — a year ago

Golden apples, bruised pear, gardenias, almonds, honeysuckle, saline, smoke. Rounded acid, medium-plus body, juicy-oily texture, crisp floral-stone fruit-honeyed finish.. Delicate aromatics unfolds nicely into rich texture, mineral driven, highly food friendly. Recommended for Chenin lovers.

2020 vintage. Romorantin "Gloria"from Domaine de Montcy in Cheverny. Vin de France. Biodynamically farmed. Light golden colour. Some sherry-like aromas (Amontillado) in the nose. Walnuts, beeswax, quince, and dried flowers. This is an oxydative style, not sure if it was intended that way? In any case, this tastes more like a Vernaccia Di Oristano than the very few Romorantin wines I have tasted (many years ago, no vivid memories), but since I like the former... There also seems to be a bit of residual sugar which balances the walnut bitterness in the finish. A bit of an acquired taste, but worth a try. I wonder how this tastes young? The website says the estate is permanently closed. Abv. 12,5%. — 2 days ago
