A traditional Rosé from a Domaine located in the heart of Provence, near Sainte Victoire and close by Mount Aurélien. As for grape varieties, it is mostly dominant on Grenache (40 %), Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. A very elegant and feminine rosé, It is very perfumed, a bit tangy with a brilliant color, yet modern and elegant notes of white fruits, grapefruit, white flowers, and solid ripe strawberries on the palate. Dry and refreshing from beginning to end. My favorite paring with it: An arugula salad with goat cheese, strawberries and walnuts. — a year ago

The new “Esperluette” cuvée. In the words of Jérôme Prévost, “For this cuvée, we are still 100% Pinot Meunier, always 100% from the terroir of Gueux. 20% reserve wine 2017 completed with 80% wine from harvest 2018, 20% of which is from Béguines. We work some of these vines ourselves, in the same spirit and with the same touch as in Les Béguines.”
My first time tasting this cuvée. There is such singularity to his wines and really I don’t think anyone can match what Prevost is doing with 100% Pinot Meunier. Although, I definitely want to try Aurelien Lurquin. As with the Béguines, it’s so terroir expressive, supported by bruised stone fruit, baking spices and riveting energy and tension. It needs a great deal of air to really show its stuff and then it is truly oh so giving. — 5 years ago
Deep violet color. Heady, spice-accented red and dark berry aromas, along with suggestions of smoky bacon and licorice. Juicy and lithe on the palate, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors that put on weight as the wine opens up. Shows fine definition and spicy cut on a long, juicy finish that features gently gripping tannins and a lingering suggestion of cracked pepper. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, December 2022)

A quiet tutorial in balance. Texture is pillowy and fatty and slips into some aromatics of white flowers and pear, flavors of peach and blanched almonds, and an exit where the acid finally shows up - but right on time. Think about biting into a pear and tasting the tart skin only at the very end. That’s this. — 7 years ago
Blood orange, smoke and a little graphite. A bit light on the finish, but still tasty. — 8 years ago

Only their third commercial vintage from the “Les Robarts” lieu dit in Cramant. Aurélien Suenen choses to ferment this wine in previously used Burgundy barrels and aged in Stockinger foudre for 9 months. This wine spends five years on the lees, exclusively under cork. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2014 “Les Robarts” pours a bright yellow color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of orchard fruit, white flowers, almonds and a pile of minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is creamy. This opened dramatically with air. Disgorged January 2020 — 4 months ago
