Would buy again. We opened this along side another brand and liked this one much more. Good cab at a good price. Could not believe I found it at Winn Dixie in Davie FL. β 7 years ago

Tonight we are keeping it simple at home. We ordered delivery from Pasta Flyer, the brainchild of Mark Ladner who made his name as the Executive Chef of Del Posto during its 4*s from the NY Times days. The Rigatone with Ragu is delicious and the sort of thing that is nigh impossible to achieve at home given the slow cooking patience involved. The Fusilli with Basil Pesto is a little grassy but tasted of spring. The Spaghetti with meatballs is probably the least authentic pasta but it can only be a crowd pleaser. Who cares if it isn't Italian... We are in New York. New York authentic, perhaps. The quantity could feed a crowd, which made me happy as I was hungry and didn't need to share.
I opened this entry level Barolo from Oberto. 2013 was such a fabulous vintage for Barolo and it's great to see success at the affordable level as well as the top end. This under $40 wine is plush, inviting and just plain scrumptious. Midweight, it's one for the near term, which is fine by me. Crack open some of these while waiting for the big boy Barolos to age in the cellar for a few years.
Simple and delicious. Pasta and Barolo. β 8 years ago

$18 bucks in the bargain bin of a local packie. Band aid blew off revealing loads of earthy funk and deep blackberry fruit. Still tastes youthful, with some gritty tannin (maybe imperfect decanting on my part) and zingy acids coming through. Medium long finish. Very distinctive. Worth the flyer. β 8 years ago

Canβt go wrong when itβs 1/2 price at Winn Dixie! A very nice cab sauv from Healdsburg which shines on the fruit and a very nice finish!! If you can get this fir the $40βs range - BUY BUY BUY!! if itβs regular price, there are more named vintners with better product from this region!! β 6 years ago
Still good out of Dixie cup β 7 years ago
Great & easy. Doesnβt taste cheap - cause itβs not. $28 BOGO at Winn Dixie. β 6 years ago
Took a flyer on a mixed 3-pack and so far so good with bottle #1. Super delicate, wispy and soft, quite vinous. Apple, white raisin, ginger on the palate with a super delicate mousse and medium acidity. What it lacks in energy it makes up for in elegance. Pretty wine. Great value for what I paid. β 6 years ago
I took a flyer on this and am pleasantly surprised. It reminds me of Gamay with a firmer tannic structure. Very nice! β 7 years ago

Delicious! Great price. Bought at Dixie Liquor. β 8 years ago

Bought at Winn Dixie will buy more excellent fruit but good tannins and low acid β 8 years ago
Drinking out of a small Dixie cup with my disapproving parents. Lots of raspberry, plum and a bit of asringency in the end. Katie at tableWINE recommended it to accompany our lamb stew. It was delicious and complemented the gameyness of the lamb. β 8 years ago
