Layered, complex and ready to drink! Quince, honey some bread. Lively. — 3 years ago
I barely have words to describe the breadth of this verbous 165th. Full of character - lemon and peach, spice and melon, brioche and berry. Try hard enough and everything is there. The body is full and the acid is high and mouth snapping. I found myself making goldfish faces enjoying this wonderful blend. Bravo Krug. I can’t wait to see you again. — 8 years ago
Solid example of the GC but to be honest I've never really been impressed with Chartron, they tick a few boxes, but when it comes to a wine that moves you, this isn't the producer I would talk about, mediocrity is a harsh word, but it's what I've found so often, considering the price... — 10 years ago
Aged in a good way - transparent and good acid behind this balanced Chevy. More primary than I expected - clean and airy. — 11 years ago

Nice balance of acidity and fruit for a 16 year old wine. 2010. In fact it’s pretty fantastic. A bit of stewed apricots d hints of green apple. The tertiary elements are charming as heck. Go team! — a year ago

Decanted this for an hour and a half and reserved a glass in the bottle for the second day. These notes are based on the second day, as the flavors seemed to shine through a bit more. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and leather, although had to do quite a bit of swirling to get the aromas to come through. On the palate, beautifully deep flavors of blackberry and black currant coming through, with hints of graphite and cocoa in the background. Tannins seems pretty well integrated with good acidity, although definitely some grip on the finish. Cocoa seems to come through a bit more on the finish as well. Overall really tasty, but seems to be closing down a bit for sure. I have one more bottle, so looking forward to seeing how this tastes in 5-10 years time. — 9 months ago
Top ! — 5 years ago

Stellar: bright, fully rounded, dark yellow tone, just this side of oxidized, full power burgh. Can’t believe it’s held up this long. — 8 months ago
