By all accounts should have been given up the ghost 7 years ago. A crappy cork to boot. A perfect demonstration why a wine is a living creature. 12 years young. High alcohol for sure but that seemed to take the back seat . ( although one glass was it for me), Served cold with a cold crab cake it was just good stuff. Plenty of honey, pretty full body, calm oak. I like it. — 9 years ago
Not bad , took a chance at a local wine shop that has crappy wines — 9 years ago
A little over the hill but considering it was in the back room of a crappy liquor store...ill take it! — 9 years ago
Poured from double magnum... For such a crappy vintage in Burgundy, this is truly outstanding.
The nose is very delicate, giving up barrel toast cherries, berries and a slightly sweet edge. Weightless on the tongue with an uncommon purity. An extended finish of rich dark fruits put a capstone on the "wine-of-the-night — 10 years ago
Crappy glass, beautiful bottle. Once it opened, beautiful ripe berries, soil and earth. — 10 years ago
Beautiful, smooth, dark, long finish. Life is too short for crappy Cabernet. — 8 years ago
Young still but great wine from this ripe year. So much going on, black cherry, black tea, vanilla, sap, spice, smoked meat, hint of anise, violets, I catch skunky barnyard now and again, but it's subtle.
Big deep palate, with smooth tannins are integrated but will resolve and smooth out in years to come still.
Knocking on the door of really great Burgundy.
Good wine for a fairly crappy day that I feel like drinking good wine after and venting about on a wine app, ha. Found out this afternoon my little buddy in the background has lymphoma, not sure how long he's got yet, waiting on more tests, but at max it's not more than a year or two, at worst very soon. But he's lived a good (and very spoiled 😉) indoor life with us for 14 years, and he'll get lots more chin rubs, ear scratching, and love before he goes. 😿💔 — 9 years ago

Hey everyone! Riesling is sweet, crappy quality and overpriced! Don't buy any! (Ok, now that the people who don't like Riesling are gone...damn. Stellar. Tremendous producer. Outstanding vineyard. Wish I had a case to watch evolve over twenty-plus years. Wow. Can't get enough.) — 10 years ago
Attended a tasting a local shop with the winemaker. The weather was crappy but that ended up being lucky as not very many people showed up, so I got to talk to the producer about her wines for over an hour. This is a single vineyard production they don't make in every vintage. Blend is 95% Sangiovese and 5% Mammalo (a local grape I had never heard of). This is a complex and elegant wine with red fruit, violet, vanilla, and dark chocolate notes. Nice lingering finish. Will plan to stop here when I get to Tuscany! — 8 years ago
Bright purple and violet color. Very young. Over oaked from my point of view. Nice pure blueberries and blackberries, liquorice, cedar box and tobacco leaves on the nose. Smooth and round mouthfeel, also nice acidity makes your mouth watering. Solid Syrah but definitely not great. Decanting is a must! Btw sry for the crappy pic lol... 2014 vintage. 15.5% alc but it's very under control. — 9 years ago
Sure u can beat the heat with crappy stuff; but why do it when wines like this are so crisp and refreshing ( and inexpensive): I'll take this, u can have all the white zin (:() u can drink — 9 years ago
This is really good ( despite the crappy label). Nose of flowers, earth, and with time, chocolate. A mouthful of lovely blackberry and sour cherry. Great value for $15. Get some. — 10 years ago
Opened for science and found it to be surprisingly open. Classic Cab/ Mer balance with unsubtle but not overwhelming oak and, a day after having a supermarket bottle of Baron de Brane with similar thoughts, makes me wonder if most Bordeaux tastes about the same, if I have a crappy palate, if we are all subject to the narcissism of small differences or all three. Thoroughly enjoyable. I feel like Guy Fieri right now. — 10 years ago
Rose petal x 2
Cherry, cinnamon. Great wine for a crappy day. — 10 years ago
The nose is immense and thick and Port-ish. Raisins, plums, maple syrup and caramel. It's full bodied and the texture is kinda grainy. The mouth has some good acid with flavored of cranberries, plums and raspberries. It has a CLASSY touch of sweetness and not a CRAPPY touch of sweetness. This Merlot is brilliant. 2012 Vintage. — 10 years ago

Nice. A tad sweet in the finish. But they only have crappy cut glass glasses. So that may affect the sweetness. Having it with filet mignon and scallops. Cheese gratin potatoes — 7 years ago
