I'm certainly no dogmatic nut on #naturalwine but I have always loved Tony Coturri's wines. Apparently this is the last we will see of the Carignane from the Testa Vineyards. Bright as heck with red marmalade aromatics and low - yes - low alcohol. Was a nice accompaniment to Blue Ribbon BBQ. — 7 years ago

Godfather Tony continues to deliver big-league ripeness, extraction and concentration while highlighting the insane *freshness* of this fruit. Tastes like biting into an end-of-summer black plum or pounding a kilo of fresh red cherries, pits and all. 14.8%, but of course it feels more like 13.5. Lacks some explicit varietal character but who cares when it’s this delicious. — 5 years ago
Delicious; fruity; great on first taste, even better on the back — 5 years ago
An excellent Cab from Moon Mountain. This vineyard sits on the Sonoma side of Mount Veeder, right off the border of Napa and is known for it’s extremely rocky terrain and it’s famous farmer Phil Coturri. Had this one in magnum and it’s starting to open, but plenty of improvement in bottle still to come. Rich and brooding and packed with black fruit. Moderate acidity and some mild tannin. A well made wine that will reward for the next 15yrs and beyond. 🌝 ⛰ — 6 years ago

Stunning and complex. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Merlot, and Zinfandel from different vintages. Nose was concentrated, overtaken by port and fortified wine aromas in a good way. Low acidity and tannins. Jammy, strawberries and red fruit, hard candy. — 3 years ago
