Needs food but not the spiciest red. And not too dry either. This is happens to be the strongest wine we tried tonight (1/8/2026) — 7 months ago
Very tasty. Sweet and earthy. Intense flavor. From Howie, February 2021. — 6 years ago
like Macon but more my liking! all the best parts of chard, but not heh — 6 years ago

Beautiful expression of Rioja. A bit young and will age nicely but even now it’s drinking well. I had it with a nice grilled ribeye and it was perfect! — 3 days ago

Medium acidity, apple on the nose, stone fruit, maybe some tropical and honeyed notes on the palate. — 4 months ago

Didn’t even need a decant, this babe was ready to go the second I popped the cork. This was all dried blackberries and dark plum with sturdy tannins begging for a rack of lamb. — 6 years ago
Tonight the wine I have opened is the Moët & Chandon 150th Anniversary Imperial Brut Champagne. The blend is 30-40% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Pinot Munier and 20-30% Chardonnay.
On the nose there is buttery brioche, creme brulee, lemon curd, yeasty bread, hazelnut and apricot.
On the palate there is creamy lemon curd, tropical fruits, pineapple, brioche, hazelnut and a minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + to high acidity that leads into a long toasty citrus finish. Today is the day we spring ahead and so we all lose an hour of our weekend. So what time we have left to the weekend try to enjoy yourselves and please be safe doing so. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 6 years ago
Unnecessarily heavy bottle. Nose is quite vinous, showing bright winey berries and cherry licorice candy, along with a whiff of almond paste. The palate is vigorous but bright and fresh, with nice depth. Tangy acids and a little metallic/mineral note in the slightly bitterish finish. It’s got the “cleansing” character that pairs well with casual, tomato-saucy Italian dishes. I could be wrong but I’m guessing that this has no slightly dried grapes in it nor was any appasimento technique used. Just fresh ripe grapes. — a month ago
This is the best bottle of wine I’ve had from my cellar in years. Nearly perfect. Bought it in 2008 for $30 and one of my great finds. Good lord it was just divine. I’m sure there have been better vintages but I can’t imagine it. — 4 months ago

Difficult but I gave it the benefit of the doubt…at opening a total disappointment, after an hour ok’ish, after 3 hours wow and at the end quite close again. I guess time in the cellar will tell? @Dave listening to George Michael — 24 days ago
