On those nose - blackberry, plum, spice. Smokey notes, good tannin level, lingering aftertaste which is good. Pleasantly surprised. Lots of fruity flavors. Deep purple color. BLEND: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 17% Petit Verdot 2% Petite Sirah Malbec 1%
14 months in French oak. Very good wine. Was a certain flavour (anise?) That I really liked but couldnt put my finger on it. — 5 years ago

From Friday night steak and claret with Cinnamon and Julia from Champagne Cazanove. I was to overwhelmed by the charm of my dining companions to remember to take a picture. I bought this now 13 year old pre-arrival, and although aromatically generous, this wine is still far to young for its outstanding potential. The high class cassis perfume was followed by an overly taught feel in the mouth. It still cut refreshed after each bite of prime top sirloin! — 8 years ago

41% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Syrah, 7% Petit Verdot, 1% Sauvignon Blanc.

Sheet of sediment in bottle, stood upright 24 hours, before decant. Filtered into decanter. Nicely aged. Strong bottle notes in decant. I recommend 3 hr. Decant. 4 hours onward, fruit notes waned.

In the tasting notes, Marijuana resin is noted. Yes, there is a taste of hash or cannabis resin in the dark notes of the wine. Pleasant, well integrated, savory, in the know.

Delicious, mature beauty. Dark bottle notes, with still bright cherry note. Cherry notes notable for estate, beautiful energy in wines.
