The colour is a surprisingly a youthful deep Ruby with purple tinges considering its 17 years of age. Dusty plum and herbal aromas. Ultra savoury on the medium bodied palate. An excellent example of perhaps the best terroir for Mourvèdre - Provence. Jancis’s drinking window was 2010 to 2020 which proves yet again how drinking windows are an inexact science considering that this wine was still kicking goals in 2025. — 7 months ago
Yet another overachieving ‘22 Provence rosé; very satisfying after recent Provence vintages produced a cloying totty fruity pop. White flowers with a pinch of pepper greets you on the first swill. There’s some nice pineapple juice in the middle palate that takes you unexpectedly to a dry finish. This is good stuff and certainly worth a try. — 3 years ago
@Delectable Wine oddly enough this is a Blanc de Cinsault, one of the silver linings of 2020.
When the fires hit early in harvest 2020, Will and Karen hedged their bets by pressing some of the 100+ year old vine Cinsault from the legendary Bechtold Vineyard immediately, and the result is a joy: pear, pomello, white grapefruit, some pith and white pepper on the finish. Fragrant and light.
In good news, the regular Cinsault from the vintage also turned out beautifully and isn’t showing a trace of smoke taint—or at least when I tried it a few months back. — 4 years ago

Light orange in color.
Light nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing raspberries, strawberries, currants, lemons, peaches, spices, sea salt and light earth.
Tangy finish with grapefruits and limes.
This is a young Rosé from Bandol. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant with a soft mouthfeel.
Nicely balanced and already showing nice complexity.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.
Good right out of the bottle and good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of 70% Mourvedre and 30% Cinsault from 45 year old vines.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
