Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2021 pours a deep purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe dark fruits: blackberries, dark cherry, plums, purple flowers, cocoa, organic earth and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. A crowd pleaser to drink now but with enough substance to enjoy through 2036. — 4 months ago

2023 vintage. From vines planted in 1968. Wonderful floral nose, elegant and complex. This small estate is a great discovery, I had a nice conversation with owner Denis Basset and one of his young daughters, Eva, who is fully involved. An estate to watch! — 24 days ago

Dark purple in color with a short reddish rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing black plums, black currants, coffee, light oak, spices, chocolates and licorice.
Short finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 5 year old Merlot from Saint Emilion is starting to drink nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Rich and extracted. Fruit forward and robust.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
14% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

First bottle corked. Luckily able to pull another from the cellar to compare. What a difference! Great learning when you can compare. Black cherry, smooth, decent acidity, very soft tannins. First bottle was wet cardboard. — 7 days ago
