I have never been disappointed by a Cru Beaujolais, though I admit the first day this #brouilly was closed and a touch unbalanced on the tart side. Wine fridge +1 day and it’s expressed itself pleasantly. Cooked raspberry, lighter cherry nose, lovely acid-forward balance with more pronounced fruit on the second day, understated mineral notes. A blend of mostly Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc, deep ruby red color with a bouquet of dark black fruit, and a slight herb nose, aged for 12 months in oak.
