This Castillion Chateau was acquired by the late Denis Durantou of L'Eglise Clinet roughly 15 years ago. Just as promised it delivers excellent value. Damp earth, currants, plums, black truffle and some green notes. Very solid. Would buy again. 2019 is the last vintage Monsieur Darantou harvested. — 4 months ago
Lovely second wine from Clinet, black fruit forward with graphite and vegetation following up to a pleasant finish. Drinking quite well now after a half hour open. My new favorite value in Pomerol. — 2 months ago
What a fine Pomerol! This lovely wine has a wonderful complex blend of mature fruit and resolved tannins. This magnum opened up with an hour of decanting and provided quality drinking for the entire evening. The cork was still solid. A pleasure to share with family and food. 👍🍷🍷 — 4 years ago
Perfect bottle that was probably at its peak. Needed an hour of decanting to unleash the violets and the red fruit in the background. Good and enjoyable but not great. — 3 months ago
Crisp citrus with hints of pepper and saffron. — 3 years ago
This did more than hold its own in a 1966 tasting that included Haut Brion and l’Eglise Clinet. Beautiful wine, very elegant. — 6 years ago

Dark fruit on the pallet - pretty smooth. Enjoyed with steak and potato. — 11 days ago
