Great balance, depth and complexity. Perhaps near its peak. Not falling apart yet but it seems the fruit may be beginning to fade. So elegant and complex.

Dec 17th, 2022Un vin Hors norme! Mon meilleur HB et mon Meilleur 1982. Tout y etait. Fruit, matiere, finesse, structure, longueur et nez renversant. Il vient se classer avec les Clinet 90 et cheval Blanc 90 comme vin mytique a mes yeux!

Comment dire... j’ai bu beaucoup de vieux bordeaux mais je pense que celui-ci est le meilleur que j’ai goûté de ma vie, Je les aimes avec de l’age et celui-ci était définitivement le plus abouti. Bouteille parfaite, bu à mon sens à son peak. Des couches de saveurs, une complexité hors norme, le fruit est encore bien présent accompagné de sous-bois, de fumée, de boite à cigare, de terre. Mais surtout une persistance en bouche que j’ai rarement vu. J’en rêve encore. Grand vin

Exquisite. Everything the fabled 1982 vintage should be. Beautiful garnet color. Cedar bark, menthol, fermented bilberry fruit on the nose. Palate shows earthen flavors balanced by supple fruit. Tannins are soft but acid is still there and the finish won’t quit for minutes. Drink now, but will still hold a few years.
