Tour de Force, absolutely black, so inky & dense, so brooding with layers upon layers of liqueur like black/blue fruit, just gobs of rich extracted macerated fruit w/distinct vein of minerality, licorice, mocha, smoke, hedonistic, light dusting of sweet baking spices, couldn’t pull our noses out of the glass, and the palate just reinforced everything… just massive, wave after wave of richness, a bit of heat from the hi ABV is my only minor deduction. Showed power & grace, masculine, structured w/lengthy caressing finish. This could go 20+ yrs, it’s just a baby. — 8 days ago
