Alma de Cattleya

California Pinot Noir 2022

14%. Fruit driven. Yet i kind of like it. Plenty of acidity. Light in color strawberries, touch Cola, black, tea notes a little bit of a spicy bite. — 8 days ago

Cuvee Number Eight Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Slightly more oomph and spice than the producer's "Cuvée Number One" this vintage but similar profile/style. Big for pinot. 2.7.24. — 3 months ago

Cuvée Number One Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2021

2021 vintage. Syrah body on a pinot. Medium-heavy body. Big with both fruit and structure. Would like to taste again in 4-7 years to see how much body has thinned out. 2.7.24. — 3 months ago

The Reward Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah 2021

2021 vintage. This is "The Reward" vs "The Initiation." The Reward is from a clone sourced from Côte-Rôtie. The winemaker, Bibiana, spent a bit o' time in the land of Stéphane Ogier in the NoRhô among other places. Out of magnum and supposedly only bottled in magnum. Holy bleep. This wine has two decades of repose ahead of it before tossing out a few bones. Tighter than a fireproof safe. Will outlive any of your friends/relatives over 65...even if they crack a c-note. Put these bottles in your will. 7.12.23. — 10 months ago
