Denner's Teresa Paso Robles 2012 is a blend of 50% Roussanne, 25% Grenache Blanc, 20% Picpoul and 5% Marsanne that forms a charming quintet. Lilting notes of melon, guava, lemon drop, banana cream pie, and honeycomb tumble forth with melodic cadence. Aged partly in stainless, concrete and French oak puncheons, it's leaner than expected, yet surprisingly complex. Picpoul adds lift and a pleasant burst of acidity, and the finish is laden with tropical notes and light toast. Very clean. — 8 years ago

Ben smith from cadence is the winemaker here the vineyard sites ate some of the oldest in Washington the ciel du cheval vineyard a blend of 66 cab, 12 cf, 12pv, 10 merlot dark cherry and currant berry fruit with that distinct red mountain minerality fresh plowed earth. Very dense and rich on the palate with an array of dark currant cherry fruit with an array of thick minerality, rich fruit but has very good balance and a fresh finish fine tannins with layers of nuance through the finish. A bit of a kitchen sink blend, reminiscent of some of the complex whites I've run across from South Africa—Troon Vineyard's Longue Carabine 2014 is composed of 43.81% Marsanne, 27.35% Viognier, 12.65% Vermentino, 8.79% Riesling, 5.0% Roussanne, and 2.4% Sauvignon Blanc, all from the Applegate Valley—offers cadence in its aromatic range. Bruised pear, yellow apple, star gazer lily, a pinch of granulated honey. Vermentino shapes the palate with it's characteristic mineral spine, giving lift to this fleshy Southern Oregon white. 12.5% ABV | Sample — 7 years ago

Really ripe and super rich, with a gregarious demeanor and an almost larger than life personality. Distinctively unconventional with an unmistakable cadence, and completely infectious. This is Samuel L. Jackson cast as Henry David Thoreau. A richly polished voice, with an attitude and a cadence that would even make gibberish entertaining. Beyond the ostensible hedonism, though, there's a substance that is layered, nuanced, and contemplative. But the former can certainly make it hard to focus on the latter.

Opens with some obvious, but not overpowering, malo butteriness which sets up perfectly for the blueberry pimp coat that takes center stage, surrounded by pencil shavings, crème de cassis, licorice, baked fig, and cigar box.

Showing a good amount of dark cherry fruit winemaker Ben smith winemaker for cadence, some meaty notes with some savory herbs and earth notes.
