The 2013 Quella is fabulous. Bright, racy and vibrant, the 2013 is just magnificent. There's plenty of tannin and structure, but it’s all woven so well into the wine's frame. Crushed rose petals, spice, mint, new leather and cedar build into the dense, resonant finish. The 2013 has blossomed into a truly exceptional wine. Superb. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, May 2024)

1 hour decant(lots of chunky/fine sediment). A majestic dark magenta color with a little bricking. On the nose: stewed plums, some blue fruit, herbaceous, eucalyptus, and worn leather. Taste: silky smooth, rich, layered wine with dark cherry, blackberry, chocolate espresso, herbs, tar, and a spicy licorice long finish. YUM! — 19 days ago

Sulphur. Pale straw. Little fruit except tart lime/lemon zest. Steely minerality. Petrol/kerosine. Bond dry. Explosive / extremely prickly salty acidity. Very salty and saline and energetic on the palate. Tannic and powerful. — a year ago

Drank over two nights using a Coravin. Second night I decanted 1.5 hours. Both were a bit mild and muted. Concentrated and hefty but lacked the power I was expecting. Perhaps at 10 years it’s entered a more reserved phase. — 7 days ago
