Good golly. My palate is shot.
But I know great when I taste it.

Dark ruby-red. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, blackberry, mocha and licorice. Concentrated, dense and fully ripe, conveying a much more pliant texture today than the 2002. But this is also sappy, fine-grained and nicely delineated, with its dark berry and black cherry fruit flavors given shape by a brooding element of savory minerality. Not hugely sweet, though, and clearly less liqueur-like than the 2002. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins that should carry this wine for at least another 15 years. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, June 2020)

Still tannic. Dark fruit. Deep and dark. I'm looking for the velvet glove and can't find it

2001. Surprisingly thin, probably should have been drunk a few years ago.

45+ minute decant and could have used a little more. Deep red color with maroon edges. Still youthful. Very big, deep wine. Very complex wine from nose to finish. Has that discernible Napa sweetness. Nose has bramble and cherries. Palate contains earth, subtle herbs, licorice, and plenty of fruit. Insane texture! Finish has Amarone and Port elements with spice, cinnamon and decent alcohol. Seems to have characteristics from every region of the world which is super cool. Very good, but not sure it’s worth current market prices.

Needs an hour of air to fully blossom. But then presents a structured, suave and forward (but not overbearing) Napa Cab profile.

Super flora and fragrant. Smells super amazing.
Taste is good although I think not as good as the melbury and the st Eden. There is a little bit of a dark after taste. It’s dark and rich, some fruit but not fruity. 9.1+
Dark fruits/ dark berries. There is a deep richness to it but it’s not as smooth as I expected. It’s just not completely together.
