Just tasted this blind in Somm class. I really enjoyed it and was somewhat surprised by that fact. Not as much of a fruit bomb as I would have expected. Selling Cali wines all day has jaded this East Coast kid. — 7 years ago
Bold and juicy fruit bomb. — 8 years ago
Bright aromas of fresh, slightly unripe raspberry and black cherry, with a little white pepper and garrigue. By no means is this a typical Zin, as the grapes were picked a little earlier and it is not aged on oak. If you are looking for a big, extracted, tannic, high octane raisin bomb (which can also be enjoyable), this ain't it. OTOH, if you like a fruity, medium-bodied, food-friendly, minerally wine with medium+ acidity, you'll like this. Paired very well with Spaghetti Marinara. 13.5% abv. — 9 years ago
Not a fruit bomb, but you won’t mistake this for a Rhône either. Had a lot of depth and intensity, but never overpowering. Black cherry and plum fruits are intertwined with herbaceous notes. The tannins are silky tannins, giving way to a powerful, peppery finish. Gets better with each sip. — 6 years ago
Big central coast GSM & V. Blackberry alcohol/fruit bomb. Not a lot of tannins but delicious after a long drive to Santa Barbara wine country. — 8 years ago
When I last had this 3 months ago, I described it as a fruit bomb with very faint effervescence. I said it would do well with a good food pairing.
I'm pleased to report that, indeed, a hearty beef stew with all its unctuous qualities derived from layers and layers of flavors, went quite well.
The note itself remains unchanged. — 9 years ago

Black and blue fruit bomb from the guys at Harlan. Super silky tannins. Best wine of the night. — 9 years ago
This wine really wowed me. Enjoyed at my favorite wine restaurant Bella Monte. This is a beautiful fruit bomb that offers fruit, balance, structure, finish. This one should age beautifully and become more elegant with time. Plan to revisit very soon. Well crafted. — 6 years ago

A big fruit, oak bomb. Once it opened up it was quite nice. Getting better with age. — 9 years ago

A nice light bodied, easy drinking red blend, low acidity, peppery at first with a long finish of blackberry jam. — 9 years ago

Fruit bomb toned down after an hour (aerate). From there on kirsch and stewed fruit, subtle herbs and firm acidity as a counterweight. A fantastic coudoulet, outpacing many cndp’s. — 6 years ago
