Very unique old world hybrid grape between cab sav and grenache. Decanted for a hour. Definitely needs air time and ideally paired with some food. Bright mouth watering acidity. Smokey black cherry aromas. Cherry, raspberry, mushrooms, and charcoal flavors.
Unique and worth seeking out. The Garzon Uruguayan version of this grape is another example to try. — 4 years ago

His wine is very underrated. At least the 2017 harvest. I apologise to the other folks who scored this wine but this is a delicious wine. I opened the bottle and my wife knew immediately that this was a South American wine and guessed it was a garzon. Honestly, if not better this wine is as good as garzon tannat. Cioccolato, lots of red berries and leather notes. Coffee and a little vanilla on the palate. It is a pity this wine isn’t available in the USA and only 20.000 bottles of this vintage were produced. I will certainly buy it again in my next trip. — 4 years ago

Brought this back from our trip to Uruguay. One of the better blended ones and I can remember I was fed up with all the single varietal tannat when I was there. Great spice, herbs, mint, good acidity and only slightly tannat-tanic. — 6 years ago
Intense and smoky with a smooth mouthfeel and sharp finish. Interesting and well made. $20 — 9 years ago
