Medium gold color. Heavy in the glass. Leesy nose with notes of lemon, apricot, tan spice and sea shells. With air this really blossomed. Became exotic and later was atypical for a Chablis. Yet it always had great fruit and powerful acidity. (Bday dinner 2/13) — 7 years ago
Most unusual Priorat ever! Super intense & persistent menthol/spearmint notes dominated nose. Otherwise, impressive - very inky, some mineral & dark fruit, huge mid-palate but tannins were very well integrated, long rich finish softened over time. Big Guns here, touch too hot. I wonder how this will evolve from its current atypical expression? — 8 years ago
Unfiltered, and it lets you know! Atypical for merlot / Cabernet. Funky good! — 8 years ago
This wine is just Fucking beautiful.
The style here is so elegant. I love these wines. I could really drink this once a week. So much the opposite of heavy.
Nose is perfume. Tropical fruit flowers. Not the fruit itself.
Palate is hints of tropical fruit. Mineral. Sleek in a good way. Gorgeous texture. So atypical for the rhone. If more wineries made wine like this I’d drink them as much as I do burgundy.

Last bottle. Big, rich Chardonnay. Hints of pineapple and coconut. Atypical to say the least. It is tasty, but you wouldn’t pick it as white Burgundy. Drink up. — 6 years ago
I know this wasn’t supposed to be a good vintage in CA, but it happens to be one of my favorites because it was so atypical. This bottle did not disappoint. The aroma just went on and on, the balance of acidity, tannins, and fruit was beautiful. After a quick comparison of all the spices in our pantry my wife and I decided the aroma held a combination of dried thyme, coriander, black raspberries and currants. As with many good bottles, my only regret is that I didn’t buy more. — 6 years ago
Savory syrah, grippy, peppercorn, an atypical vintage but this vinter did the wine justice. — 7 years ago
A bit atypical for pinot noir (although some -gris & -blanc in blend). Darker red fruits, a bit of smoky flinty aromas, herbs, licorice. Lots of spice for a pinot! — 8 years ago
Atypical for the 2012 vintage. This is an acid and structure-driven Pinot that seems a bit out of balance. Good flavors, but a bit on the harsh side considering the time since vintage and that it got a good breather after opening. Needs more time, but not sure it will ever be in balance. — 8 years ago
Nose has lemon peel, green apple peel, saline solution, wet beach sand and crushed oyster shells; Restrained.
Palate has warmed lemon, dried lemon pith, steely minerals, sea salt and lemon peel.
A very nice wine, but a departure from the 2014 version, atypical for this gifted producer.

Round tropic fruit and melon rind, which points to the ripe vintage. Great weight while still maintaining persistent, mouth watering acidity. Old world balance, but perhaps a somewhat atypical expression of Sancerre. Or is this what we should get used to? Listed as 14.5% alc. Don’t know if that’s accurate or is merely a way to avoid tariffs. Great wine though. — 6 years ago
Bright deep cherry and forest tree nose with buttered popcorn. Multilayers of buttered candied fruits rioting under a blanket of pine needles. Rises and dips across the palate experience of tis roller coaster Pinot. Atypical and Absolutely pleasurable. — 7 years ago
Color : Red
Wine estate : Zinfandelic
Designation : Zinfandel
Name : Sierra foothills Zinfandel
Country : USA
Vivino : 4.5/5
Note : The famous Zinfandel with its multicolored label and atypical like this wine. A red robe, a nose of strawberry and flowers. A very greedy taste, intense and delicious. Red fruit flavors refreshing and unctuous. To drink without moderation! — 8 years ago
Full body, crazy atypical vintage, shockingly delish! — 9 years ago

A chillable red made with grapes too smoky to make Pinot. Bought at a PDX weekend with Lauren and Sarah — 5 years ago
