Decanted for 1 hour and it tight and complex. Mellowed out after we paired with our meal. — a year ago

Single vineyard Garnacha was tasting mighty fine, needed about 2 hours to really open up and show its stuff. — 13 years ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of cherries, hibiscus, and charred oak; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium tannins, high (but well integrated) alcohol, medium body, and pronounced primary flavors of stewed strawberries, black plums, and camphor with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it, too. — 9 months ago

Still drinking nicely. Dark fruit and saddle leather and some tannin. — 5 years ago
Bought 2016 per Pedro at Grand Cata $25 on 2/24/19. He said it would be heavier and exhibit more structure than some others in stock - and to let breathe for thirty minutes. Pretty bright red, no meniscus. Weak bouquet but surprisingly nice balance– good light acid, gentle tannins, red fruit, some flinty mineral. Juicy and full of bright red fruit, much like a southern Burgundy. Higher alchohol? — 7 years ago
Yum! Called Rhone Syrah — 10 years ago
The dryness, tannins & acidity of this wine paired well with braised short ribs. The ribs were accompanied by polenta & salad with Meyer Lemon vinaigrette. Very important pairing note - balancing acidity to cut richness but still give a pleasant mouth - feel. 2006 vintage - Floral notes weren't dominant for us. — 11 years ago
Delicious. Full. Not overly fruity. — 13 years ago
