100% Sangiovese. Medium ruby color. Aromas of red cherry, red geraniums, tomato leaf and leather. Black cherry fruit leads the palate with additional notes of tobacco, minerals and savory spices. Long and earthy finish. Firm structure and tannins but extremely well balanced. Acidity is bright and well incorporated. Vibrant and elegant. A very pleasant surprise. This was NV and purchased back in the 90s. Was going to a Southern Italian Themed meal and bought this for dessert. Showed no signs of age and was loaded with cherries and chocolate with a great finish. We easily finished the bottle. At Anthony’s in HH — 3 months ago
