Tous les Jours Central Coast Syrah 2022

Delectable Wine
9.2

The 2022 Syrah Tous Les Jours is a fabulous entry-level offering from Andrew Murray. A blast of dark cherry, plum, mocha, scorched earth, licorice, spice and espresso are all dialed up. It's an unreal value. “This gets a lot of really good stuff," Murray adds. No kidding. That's obvious. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2024) — 8 months ago

Champoux Vineyard Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Wine smelled good right out of the bottle but had a bit of astringency on first taste. That went away with some air and decanting. This wine really showed well over a 2 hour dinner. Good fruit without being fruity or jammy and that made it easy to drink. — 10 months ago

Screaming oak. I love it. Mouth watering. Ritchie is one of my favorite Chardonnay vineyards. A heady style. — 3 years ago

Tin Box Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Elegant as Bevan goes. Not quite Parker 100 but quite good, esp for 2011. I’ve raised the rating twice. — 5 years ago

2017 is fab. Great QPR. Intense with backbone. Give it a few more years. it doesn’t get much better at this price-point. — 5 years ago

Last bottle I had gave me the impression that this was on the decline. Not the case at all. — 6 years ago

Dry Stack Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2022

An amazing Sauvignon Blanc with a great potential to age, enticing citrus notes with some powerful yet not overwhelming tropical fruit flavors. Great wood notes make this one very distinctive and expressive white from Sonoma. A bit hazy with some sediments which fall almost into a natural category of wines. However; it’s meant to improve as it ages. A bit not so common for a white from this region. Paired with seafood (salmon and tuna fish). Solid! — 9 months ago

Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Cabernet Franc - Merlot Blend 2015

Needs more time in the bottle or maybe 24 hour decant. Very linear. Great blend. Enjoyed! — 3 years ago

A well made wine. Maybe I’m getting to be more oak adverse lately. I would have thought by now the oak would have integrated more. — 4 years ago

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2013

An 11 year old Pinot Noir from Bevan…what a treat! I don’t think it’s going to improve with further aging. It’s time to drink this one. — 9 months ago

Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc 2016

The nose on this is ethereal & elegant. Fruity notes with some leafy undertones. The palate shows a much bigger frame with rich dark cherry notes and some blueberry character on the back end. Tannins are present, but well balanced and the palate weight gets more elegant with air. — 5 years ago
