Light straw with a plethora of tiny bubbles. Distinctively Clouet from beginning to end. An attractive bouquet of vanilla and smoke, with red apples and butter. Plenty of dried cherries and oak to go with the citrus and floral aromas.
Powerful and direct with finesse and character, that’s the Clouet trademark. Equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Bouzy. Nice, smooth acidity and a more than generous nature, as always. The palate is delectable with salted butter, citrus, and ripe red fruits. Yet another hit for one of my favorite producers.

From the producer of the excellent Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this Côtes-du-Rhône Villages has notable depth of flavor and excellent balance of smooth tannins, medium acidity and complexity of fruit. Strawberry, blackberry, black cherry, leather, garrigue (wild thyme and lavender) and a subtle meaty note. It’s like a restrained CdP. 70% Grenache, 20% Cinsault, 10% Syrah. For about $20 it’s a good value — 4 months ago
Better than when i tried the wine earlier. So it did need 10 year. Still the 10’ continues to be more or less a dud across the board. With few exceptions. This wine is at the end of his life. Tannins well resolved although plenty left, hint cherry 🍒 . Orange juice. — 5 months ago
