Reading old reviews. Ha. I AM a fan of Spanish whites. Oh how we mature. #winenoobie always learning... — 6 years ago
Very aromatic. 2014 was a bad year for vineyards as it was raining and cold. But this producer has managed to top others by producing this great Riesling. Can taste the dryness but has the sweet aromatic kick. Vienna with Joo 2017 December 29 — 6 years ago
Off-vintage but tasty. A bit of a mouldy nose, eucaliptus, pine, herbs, blackcurrants and blueberries. Really strong presence of a pencil shaves note. Not as heavy and concentrate as it is. — 7 years ago
Buy when it gets hot outside or for a hike. — 7 years ago
A fascinating wine — 8 years ago
Bright and juicy with the nimbleness of a ballerina. Nice light warm up for the palette and the onslaught of juice about to occur.☝🏼️ — 9 years ago
Very agreeable. A summer go-to for this vintage and the previous as well. — 10 years ago
perfect with szechuan food straight from chengdu. showed really well. the acids and sugar was a nice complement to the ma and the la. wish @Aravind Asok had this bottle instead of the one a few days ago. — 5 years ago
When you live the dream!!Deep ruby color like this baby just got few years old on the nose an explosion of fruits combined with the miracle of the aged cabernet with notes of cinnamon cigar mushroom black truffle violet liquorice red orange and pink pepper i wish i had another bottle to open in 10 years time!! — 5 years ago
Juicy and fresh, a bit earthy, a little deep and slightly more full bodied than I've come to expect from this style of wine. I've loved ever dm wine that I've tried and this one is the most mature but still fun — 6 years ago
Smell like lemon and fermenting pizza dough. Peach, pineapple, cream and a dry, persistent finish. This has weight and length. Really good for the price — 7 years ago
1996 Screaming Eagle. Dinner at Tap w S&L DiM and P&S Co. Superstar. We all remarked how unbelievably balanced this wine was, despite how big it remained at 20 years old. Finish lasted forever and was a truly memorable finish to the evening. — 8 years ago
Rocky Grenache. Very reductive. Took 45 minutes to blow off, but afterward had great red fruit and violet aromatics. Tannin has integrated well, but probably doesn't have much life left from here. A little dusty. — 8 years ago
Wow! More like a Jura wine, tastes similar to ploussard. — 8 years ago
The kind of wine that never fails to get you in a good mood. Sweet, yet not overly, a bit tart with aromas of rowanberries, cherries, almonds. — 10 years ago
It's hard to imagine now, but there was a time in my life when I thought I didn't like Beaujolais! — 10 years ago
The wine is dark and juicy, with black currant and black raspberry aromas, but the nose has a distinct savory side to it, with cedar, olives, smoke and sassafras. The palate brings a textbook darkness, with earth for miles and miles and miles. It's just about pitch black, and that's okay, because I've got a flashlight. There is a heavy note of oak spice, a tongue-teasing acidity and a tannic structure that demands meat, make that steak, make that ribeye. — 7 years ago
The nose on this is stunning. Hauntingly pretty with red fruit, roses and a great length and complexity. On the palate there's still decent fruit... A slightly blurry mid-palate, with a faded sweetness, resolved tannins and good length. A very nice wine still... But that nose! — 8 years ago
This wine packs a punch! Pungent upon smell and going down, but man oh man do I love it. Sweaty socks is right. I don't usually go for a gamay, but this ones my jam. — 8 years ago

Second bottle, this one was great; first bottle (last year) was certainly a bit tainted. Pale color quickly deepened to rich gold in the glass; smelled like honeyed fruit, and tastes like it too; bright and citrus; smooth and long lasting. Light to medium sweet. Delicious at nearly 31 years! — 5 years ago
