Opened alongside a 2006 Zenith. Both tasting exceptional in 2018. — 7 years ago
You ever open a perfect bottle with the exact right amount of bottle age? Me neither - until this bottle! I’ve had ‘better’ wines, sure, but this was the moment this wine was made for, at its absolute zenith. — 7 years ago
Fantastic! Must have again. Lots of fruit, super smooth. Amazing wine. — 9 years ago
First time tasting this bottling. Very enjoyable, but probably just past its zenith. Quite contemporary for a Spanish Tempranillo. Good fruit profile, with tobacco and herbs. A little iron and singed leaves come along for the ride. Finishes with persistence. A great value. — 6 years ago
Strong showing from the French.
At its zenith right now. Presented a touch of funk, which blew off. A stunning presentation on the palate. Soft and plush, with a core of black fruits and regal oak. Expansive on the finish. Gutted that this was my last bottle, but enjoyed with wine geeks who suggested this rating.

We love Plumpy. Lovely texture and mouthfeel. Nice long finish, and not overly sweet. Nice dark fruit profile, with a nifty acidic presence, complemented with balsamic notes, and black tea. Not the over-the-top Napa fruit-bomb. Probably at its zenith now. Drink up, or else... — 8 years ago
Sublime. Initially, it's difficult for me to say whether this wine sees oak, but I love it because of that.
On the nose, I detect nuts, toast and a hint of barrel toast. The palette is completely delineated. Nectarines and tense citrus fruits are evident. The wine has a wonderfully light mouthfeel. Acidity is still bright, and the finish just keeps going. At its zenith now, but should continue to evolve for another 5 - 7 years or so. — 9 years ago
Anniversary #14 wine! Getting to slim pickings for the 2012 G Major 7. Nice wine. Starting to get to its zenith, but compared to the 2010, this one has a lot of growing up to do but still a solid 95 today. Blackberries and brambly fruit. Not as weighted as the 10. At the moment. Ample black fruit to the finish. A good wine to celebrate #14. Lots of tannin still present. Starting to gain a little maturity. Pepper finish. Great expression of Oakville fruit. — 7 years ago
Wedding wine, revisited. In a magnum with the finest company and meat & cheese pairing. A blast to compare with the 2006 Evesham Le Puits Sec we opened with this. — 7 years ago
SOLID bottle of wine. VERY impressed by this one. This wine was true embodiment of Napa cab at 12 years old. Dense, full bodied blackberry fruit on the front with a hint of eucalyptus, with a slightly "blue" tone. The entry of this wine was rather massive and tasted like this one was 3 years old. The middle of this wine had some fig and black fruit, and finished with a dominant pepper note. I heard Shay talk about this one for a little while, and was very honored to share this one with you. I was extremely impressed at how youthful this one drank, and seems to have a good 5-7 years ahead of it. I think zenith is probably 2020-2021. — 8 years ago
Ectually blended white, excellent — 9 years ago
This wine is so young. It has all the makings of a great Pinot but definitely needs time for the elements to gel. The oak is a sort of shroud over the whole thing but when it integrates over the next couple of years, this could be a special bottle of wine. — 9 years ago

The ‘98 vintage was rated as very good for right bank.
Deep ruby.
Interesting pronounced developed nose of blackberry, plum sauce, dark cherry, graphite, tar, violet, cedar, dark chocolate.
The palate has rich and concentrated earthy flavors, dry, med+ lively acidity, med+ ripe tannins, med alcohol, pronounced intensity.
Long coffee and tar kick finish.
Very good grand cru classe, very enjoyable, still shining with great fruit in there, drink now, at zenith, suitable for further aging. Cork was fine!
