Retasted over a year after my initial review. Not sure what I was thinking with my 92 points. Palate fatigue after a serious Madeira flight? Quite possibly. Holy god this is great. Easily one of the most complex, vibrant and elegant fortified beverages I’ve ever had the pleasure to taste. Worth every penny if you’re a serious Madeira collector. Honeyed but never cloying, unctuous yet focused, savory yet fresh. The fruit is so youthful and preserved and the acidity is screaming. Find this and drink it! — 7 years ago
The perfect ending to an all Canadian weekend, Oh Canada,
Cheers 🍷🇨🇦. Next Mrs A and I will switch to US Adult beverages in honour of all our American Delectable friends as they celebrate their US Birthday on July 4th. Cheers 🇺🇸 from your northern neighbours and friends. 💥🍻🥂🍷🇺🇸🇨🇦 — 7 years ago

I'm not sure the world of fine beverages is ready for this but this is one of the most interesting culinary creations I have come across this year. This is absolutely a 'have this with food' drink. So refreshing. Such good value and culinary creativity on display. — 9 years ago
15 - a limited edition anniversary barrel aged double IPA.
A full flavoured beer with zesty oak and orange aromas, marmalade hops. Mellow finish with vanilla and heather honey.
Definitely looking forward to another 15 years of Innis and Gunn's remarkable beverages.

Mrs A and I have been to Mexico many times and always enjoyed, the people, the sites, the food, the beaches, the adult beverages an of course the many wonderful Mexican beers. Sitting up here in the mountains on a hot summer night we can only dream of the many times we have enjoyed a Dos Equis Amber with salsa and chips. This will never be mistaken for a Canadian, but this is truly one of the most refreshing beers around on a hot summer night in the Canadian Rockies. Oh, wait is that a Mariachi band I hear in the distance? Salud 🍻🇲🇽 — 7 years ago
This was from class last Thursday. It was heaviest of the beverages that day. More of a charred toast character. But I like things dark. Beyond toast there are pears, lime zest, and big bold stones and yet all this weaves together seamlessly. I also need more. — 7 years ago
Really unfortunate to get a barrage of ads for unrelated products (video games) while trying to input this, @Delectablewine Delectablewine. I understand the need to monetize, but seriously, optimize your targeting a bit better than that. We expect a bit more intelligence from an app devoted to sharing and appreciating fine beverages. Overstuffing the free version--that many of us have been using for years--with unrelated ads to prod us towards paid premium only builds ill-will. I'm considering going back to handwritten wine journals à la Michael Broadbent, or even Instagram.
This baby Brunello is well-integrated, full of luscious dark cherry and leather notes. Medium finish. Should develop well over ten years. — 8 years ago
Even packed in a box, this fruity wine is one of my favourite light beverages. — 8 years ago

Reminiscing about this amazing value Super Tuscan we had at Officina last week during restaurant week in DC.

Restaurant week at Officina and a perfect wine for our three course meal. Thank you Natalie for the recommendation. Deep ruby red in appearance. Took some time to open up on the nose but showed layers of mocha, floral, touch of minerals, blue and black fruits and spices. Medium tannins (5.5/10) with balanced acidity and a medium plus body. Plush Merlot definitely comes through in the mid palate with black currants, black cherries, chocolate, espresso and a touch of earthiness. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2023.

Crazy good wine for only $60.00 on a wine list. Made up of 50% Sangiovese with the remainder made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, making this a true Super Tuscan Blend. All the Sangiovese is aged in stainless steel while the rest are aged in barriques. This wine is from an area in the southern part of Tuscany called Maremma, more specifically Upper Maremma in the Colline Metallifare zone. Need to find some more of this IGT. Label is designed by Raffaele De Rosa.

Zowee! Who knew that marrying two of my favorite beverages would create an elixir so sublime! Reminiscent of a fine port on the nose and the palate. Please, Apothic, create more! — 7 years ago
Subtle notes of economy class wine, and definitely contains grapes, alcohol. If you like fine cocktails and want to practice mixology, a shot of Mabillon will go well with one of my other favorite beverages: Coca Cola. — 7 years ago
This guy needs some age for epic (for Beaujolais) tannins. It is aggressive which makes sense for windmill wine. And yet there is an elegance. I'm so glad I got two bottles so I can try it again in a year or so and see what happens. Oh the fun of having living breathing beverages in your wine fridge! — 8 years ago
One of the great beverages that @Gary Westby put in our Christmas Box! Thank you!
This is always a consistent Champagne. This could go with several different foods, seafood to pork and by itself. — 8 years ago

Not always my favourite on the table, but always solid. Dassai's like the Penfolds of sake - producing high quality beverages at a scale that's accessible to the multitude. In 2013, Asahi Shuzo, Dassai's brewery, sold 1.14 million bottles of sake, which is peanuts compared to what Treasury does, but no mean feat in a struggling sake industry. For me, Dassai is at least large enough to have reached little ol' Kuching, and to have been one of my first encounters with a Junmai Daiginjo.
I've always found Dassai's quite rich and it's no different here. Exotic nose of melons, pineapple, candied fruits even. Palate's like a fruit punch, plush but toned back by herbaceous notes and some acidity. Clean, lengthy finish. Very approachable. The best drink on the table this time. — 6 years ago
