In a really nice spot-won’t improve with holding. Not incredibly complex, but delicious. — 2 months ago
Williams Selyem with this kind of age never disappoints, nor does the 2012 Napa/Sonoma vintage.
Mid & darker fruits & mid berry cola burst out of glass. Limestone minerals, crushed rock, steeped tea and bright, fresh red florals.
It glides on the palate with ripe, juicy fruits that are; dark cherries, strawberries, blackberries, black raspberries, pomegranate, dry cranberries, blueberries & some boysenberries. Red cola/licorice, dark spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, vanillin, dark rich soil, dry twig, crushed limestone, dry top soil, saline, fresh, bright, dark, red forals with violets, excellent rainfall acidity with an elegant, balanced finish that falls on dry minerals and that lasts two-minutes.
Quality consistent yr in yr out. Their style is my Pinot wheelhouse. Now owned by Domaine Faiveley.

First time trying this producer.
Muted nose, but displayed good taught acidity and grip on the mid-palate, with classic cola notes. Nice depth and freshness. — 13 hours ago
This showed up super well with the lunch. Excellent. — a month ago
Classic black cherry nose w hint of spice and oak. Great balance rich long finish — 2 months ago
I’ve always loved the WS Coastlands. This vintage at this age was the best yet. — 4 months ago
A blend from several vineyards, including Middle Reach, Green Valley, Santa Rosa Plain, and the Laguna Ridge area. Bright Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, cherry and currants with pepper, tea, herbs, vanilla and oak, aged on French oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with spice, ripe fruit and oaky tones. Very Nice! — 23 days ago

Simply great with this age for $45.
2008 was a Sonoma fire year and while this has some smokiness it does seems that it’s from smoke taint.
Ruby, dark, slightly, sour cherries, blackberries, black plum pudding, black raspberries, dry cranberries, blueberry hue’s, touch of baked rhubarb, moist clay with grey volcanics, alluvial limestone, dry rock powder, red licorice/cola, steeped tea, some dry herbs, lightly grilled meats, dark spice w/ a touch of heat, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanillin, dry twigs, fall leaves, withering; dark, red, blue florals framed in violets with hints of lavender, summer rainfall acidity with a lush, elegant, well balanced, mid tensioned/structured, two- minute finish, that falls on earthiness. — 15 days ago
