Outstanding Oregon Pinot Noir. Clear pale/medium ruby, nose of well worn earth, forest floor, charred wood, cloves, cherry cola, cough syrup with faint red fruit beneath it - especially cranberry. Light tannins with more earthiness and rich red cherries on the palate. Long finish. So good! — 8 years ago
QF81 - Beautiful soft with loads of depth. — 9 years ago
This one's in a class of it's own. Lovers of Cab Sauv praise it. Even folks like me who aren't huge fans of Cab Sauv find it pleasing. — 9 years ago
This rye has a very nice smokiness but that could be because of aging in Scotch barrels. — 11 years ago
Another Bloomsbury disgorged in May 2015 with many characters & structure reminiscent of the great 1996. A potential successor ... — 11 years ago

Delicious Demerara rum. Complex notes of toffee, molasses and somet'in' somet'in' #rumofmypeople — 7 years ago
Fine minerality but a bit short n too oxidized for my taste. Reminds a little of cava. — 7 years ago
Spiced apple, lemon curd, white peach with marzipan, nougat, marshmallow oatmeal, clove and just a suggestion of sulphides. It’s generous in its delivery, but even with full malo there’s some driving acid that drives the finish and shapes things up beautifully. — 8 years ago
The complexity of this iconic winery’s entry-level Chardonnay belies its price, with intense Meyer lemon, pear and melon character and hints of toasty lees and fennel. Juicy, seamless and pure, it also has the balance to age. (JR)

One of the best Pinot noirs I've ever had. Good for sipping casually, had a sweet and fruity taste. Could have a whole bottle to myself. — 11 years ago
Some #delectable #PinotNoir from the #RussianRiver valley. Strawberry, red plum and red currant, cinnamon on the nose and palate. Definitely on the juicier side of pinot noir. — 11 years ago
Clove, cracked pepper, black currant, medium body, medium acid, ultra dry. Dark finish. Good balance — 12 years ago
Savoury is the name of the game. Medium to full bodied, long finish, gravelly drying tannin, blackcurrent, mint, eucalypt. Great nose, 2 hr decant and felt it was finally opening up. Very left bank Bordeaux like, 85% cabernet sauvignon. 10% petit verdot. 2% merlot. 1% cabernet franc. — 7 years ago
Tonight’s nightcap 🥃
During our stay at the hospital for the birth of our son some dear friends of ours brought my wife & I a care package. In it were all manner of goodies and treats, as well as a bottle of champagne and this scotch. They know us all too well 🤫🤷🏻♂️

Caramel, creme brûlée, charred orange peels, and Christmas spice cake on the nose. Mild notes of moss on the palate with a pronounced but welcome warmth on the way down. Smooth and perfectly suitable for ending the day with. — 7 years ago

A gorgeous red after a long day of travel! — 10 years ago
Wow; how maturing #margaretriver #chardonnay does vary; see recent #cullen #2009 which was brassy, this gleaming green and plenty of it; #cullen restrained, this #capementelle is butch; nose power of smoke or burnt things, bottle age nose not simple, evidence of lees/ mlf from the smoke; palate chunky, lime juice, burnt toast you taste in 30 yo Eden Valley riesling; juicy smoke; rich, not terribly drying, acid taut, 13%, AUD 35, full bodied, no apparent reason for it to fade for a while; contained power. #uncorkedandcultivated #wineandfoodtours — 11 years ago
Good complex nose of apricot, peach, nutt and a touch of butter. Beautiful complexity, texture and lees influence. Delish ! — 11 years ago
Picked up a few magnums of this for $39.99 . The wine is on point. — 12 years ago
Just beginning to drink well, but would still wait a couple of years. Classy, black fruit core with liquorice, prune, coffee, mint. Supple, elegant, pure. — 13 years ago
Bob McDonald

Mid Lemon in colour. Nutty aromas with some orange peel and leesy notes. On the medium weight palate some restrained stone fruit flavours well integrated with the oak - well balanced. Medium plus intensity and length. Proving once again that the strengths of Margaret River are Cabernet and blends as well as Chardonnay. Chloe is the premium Chardonnay cuvée from Woodlands. — 7 years ago
