Wow. More flavor, much better than their regular cab. Silky, velvet, smooth. Chocolate. Rich fruit. Big, full flavor, lots of flavor. Not old world style for sure, not subtle. It's a big bomb. We would pay up to $75 for this so a bit overpriced to us.

Lots of blackberry and fruit up front with a smooth silky finish. Still very young so a little acidic on the finish. Should age well. We bought a case to put down and just had to sample one bottle before leaving the others to their slumber! — 11 years ago
1947. Can't actually believe I have rated this in my lifetime. Although it had a significant amount of leakage and oxidisation, it was still bright, still had bags of fruit, tannins, acidity. What am incredibly generous wine to open to celebrate our new little company. Thx guys xxx — 11 years ago
A great time at The Capital Grille deserves some great wines. We had a few and ran the Napa gamut. The Insignia was up first and it did not disappoint. They always have a nice complexity of flavors battling it out for attention. One moment it is an early blackberry and the next it is a bright plum. Truly enjoyable. — 9 years ago
One of my favorites for past 10 years. I'm afraid new ownership could effects future productions we have wait and see. — 10 years ago
1985 Sassicaia. Second red wine at Redd Wood lunch w A, S, and K. This wine was perfect. Epic. We could not believe how perfect this wine was drinking. Thoroughly enjoyed it- it was enjoyable the way truffles are- hard to describe, but pleasing to all relevant senses. — 10 years ago
Double mag that needs a lot of time to breathe. Great wine. Lucky we had some friends to help out on Christmas Eve and thanks Anne for sharing! — 11 years ago
Damn. Memories of date night oh so long ago. Still a mere baby. I've another bottle in storage, perhaps soon. Muscular, still overly (to me) tannic, acidity still high. But still. Can't believe what this costs now. Yikes. — 9 years ago
Gamey, rubbery, almost Shiraz-like burnt quality on the nose. Wild berries with zippy acidity and a rustic, herbal edge. Still has Malbec (or should I say Cot) concentration. — 10 years ago
Great with these amazing filets we had last night — 10 years ago
This bottle was given to me by a good friend and we drink it together on 8-4-2010. It was also my 60th birthday. — 11 years ago
Today we are celebrating Andrea's college graduation. She was born in 1993, I feel this appropriate for drinking today! — 11 years ago

Can't believe I've held on to this treasure for so long! Cedar and sandalwood on the nose. Silky with a bright and savory--almost vegetal--finish. Perfect with filet and steak-house style garlicky creamed spinach. These grapes were picked when I was still in high school! — 9 years ago
