Very good, bold but dark cherry notes — 4 months ago
Dry but lots of fruit. 1988 — 6 months ago
50/50 sangiovese grosso and merlot. Full bodied with dark fruit, some touches of coffee with bitterness and acidity but great structure with earthiness and great tannins with a long finish. Definitely something to try again. — 6 months ago
At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Unusual blend with fruit from high up by the foothills of Alps but microclimate warm enough for palm trees. A rather rich and round texture and wouldn’t have guessed Nebbiolo. — 9 months ago
Low alcohol and soft nose. Mostly fruit palate with Medium to high tannins. Long but balanced finish. — 9 months ago
Things that stood out: raisinated stone fruit and leather. 2017 vintage, very much enjoyed with a spaghetti bolognese. — 4 years ago
From Plaza $8.99 - very good. — 5 years ago
Rich, sweet, over ripe cherries, jam, light amaretto, low in tannins, berry forward — 7 years ago
Blackberry jam. Leather, spice, herbs, tobacco. Violets. Intriguing oxidized quality. Supple, lingering acidity and long finish. Very groovy. Thank you @Gene Bodemer ! — 9 years ago
Moores 2024. $25. My favorite rose on the planet. — 5 months ago

This was one of the treats of the festival. It was in perfect shape and somewhere around its precipice.
The comment made by the women representing it was, she stopped pouring it to many as they simply didn’t appreciate and or understood what they were just poured. If you understand how this is made and the extra process to make good examples, you develop #respect
Not a wine for everyone, but amazing with this kind of age and older.

Great amarone, and actually not overpowering or overpowered. Had with steak at Chicago cut. — 10 years ago
Superb Sicilian vino Rosso from Nerello Mascalese. Minerals, herbs. — 4 months ago
Classic amarone: Prunes, figs, raisins, dark chocolate notes with great firm tannins but still fresh and acidity. Brighter than other years but definitely a tasty wine that pairs well with steak or certain desserts. Definitely will try other vintages. — 5 months ago
Cannot go wrong with 2018 vintage on most central Tuscan wines and this isn’t an exception. A nice, inexpensive, appealing and approachable Sangiovese driven with a gentle tannins, bright orange acidity, juicy cranberry, ripe red cherries and spice and subtle touch of oak. A perfect pizza companion wine for a casual drinking! — 7 months ago
Lovely. Soft and drinkable. Almost finished the bottle in one sitting. — 9 months ago
Very good, consistent amarone. Review from 30 weeks ago is accurate. — 3 years ago
solid wine, more tannic than some i’ve had. would definitely recommend. — 5 years ago
Probably my favorite “cheap” Italian red. Though tannic, well balanced w dark rich fruit, high acidity, and 14% al. Earthy in a great way. Great nose. Long finish. Nice alone. Or drink w meats and/or robust pasta. $18. (One weird item: there is no vintage year on the bottle). — 7 years ago
2013, rokerig, overrijp fruit, frambozen — 9 years ago
