Oh crud I wrote a long thing about Ravenswood being family but like a family that...nevermind I cut it and apparently not in a way to paste.
Generously dried fruity. Coca Cola. Those in between tannins and abv and you, blind tasted might think it a friendly Cali blend but hell its just friendly. — 6 years ago

Nice aroma of plum and dark cherries, bold and spicy which I personally enjoy. Better after aerating or allowing to breath for a while. — 7 years ago
Very nice complement to a cigar — 7 years ago
Mr Jonathan Steeves critique nailed it. Really like this one. Can’t beat the price either. Didn’t catch the bubble gum until I read his tasting notes. Took me back to my high school girlfriend’s lipgloss. This is just as satisfying. — 7 years ago
Fruity and a bit more complex after it has had time to open up. — 9 years ago
I got the XVIII (18 not 17). Nice! Drank by the glass at a restaurant, I was told it is little known grapes from California, I was expecting a kind of sin massale but I was surprised! Lightly colored, with good floral perfume and bright red food, good acidity and some earthiness that takes it away from pinot land, without any funk — 4 years ago
After a couple of days in the Finger Lakes tasting cold-climate wines, I craved something Mediterranean in style. This is a terrific Grenache, picked early enough to keep some zing. Nose has fresh raspberry, stone dust, and rhubarb. Transparent and athletic in the mouth. Nice acids and purity, has some tannin for structure too. Great pasta wine. — 6 years ago
Smokey, velvet, rich berries. Really good wine. Super easy to drink. — 8 years ago
Big fruit body and flavor. Cherry, blueberry, blackberry, chocolate, maybe a touch cinnamon and barrel aroma. Cherry, dark berry, spiced punch flavor but a light acidity to liven it up. Oaky tannin rounds out the flavor very well. Not sure it pairs with beef burgundy but it's great by itself. — 8 years ago
As good as amzacco and pezzi king. Vanilla whiskey oak up front, then a stark change to very ripe berries, sweet. Hard to put down. — 5 years ago
Ruby in color with a wide brick rim. The color is so pretty now.
Showing black fruits with wood, vanilla, earth, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, leather, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate and fruit forward, with a nice tangy finish and soft tannins.
This 5 year old Zinfandel is drinking very nicely now. Needs a few minutes to open up and remove the barnyard notes.
Tasty and easy to drink, so watch out.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

The Monte Rosso was outstanding in every way- expressive nose of dark red fruits and layers that touched all parts of the palate. The flavors complimented a wonderful dinner. 8 years and still getting better. 100 year old vines that show how good Zinfandel can be when grown and tended to reveal their sense of place. Outstanding 🍷🍷🍷 — 6 years ago
Very good wine. Smooth, not to dry, definitely can tell it's a Zen! BlackBerry and plum with a smooth finish — 7 years ago
Love this wine! Great value, plenty of fruit. Very easy to enjoy. — 7 years ago
My first Zinfandel experience. Fruit forward and heady alcohol hit. Balanced tannin and acidity with just a hint of sweetness. Fun to drink! — 8 years ago
One of my favorite Zins. Juicy Fruit, but not a fruit bomb. Has baking spice on the back end. Very smooth and not as "in your face" as most Zins. A hint of anise but not to alcohol-ly". Would recommend as a light Zin — 9 years ago

Hint of blueberry and leather, with a tobacco and spice finish. Was sweet when paired with lamb and red sauce, turned to mocha when paired with chocolate. — 3 years ago
