Crowd pleasing and perfect party red. Big juicy dark fruits with creamy chocolate flavors.

It's good, but the 2015 is still a little sweet. I miss that spice that was so prevalent in the earlier vintages. Damn, that sounds pretty pretentious.

Smooth, light, and a bit fruity. Good bouquet and finish. Dana liked it much more than me.

Steak night! AKA: I wanted to grill a big ass porterhouse.

The 2015 doesn't have as much spice or smoke as the '13, but it's got roughly a metric sh!t-ton of jammy sweetness. Let's hope it's still a fitting accompaniment to a large hunk of steer.

Follow up: the fatty unctuousness of the steak provides a nice counterpoint to the sweetness of the wine, but I still miss some of that smoky spice of the older vintages.

Not as sweet as many Old Vine Zinfandels but still noticeably sweet. Went great with Brie, soft blue cheese, and strawberries.
