Toulouse Vineyard Pinot Noir 2007

Really lovely. Drinking the 2007 on NYE 2023 and it's still beautiful. Bing cherry and baking spice on the nose, with more cherry, cranberry, tobacco, forest floor on the palate. Surprisingly bright for 15 years old. A great buy from K&L from a private collection. — a year ago

Estate Anderson Valley Riesling 2016

Enjoyed the 2016 vintage in 2021. Bought it in the vineyard in 2017, nice wine cellar, great view. Excellent, fruity. Paired with fresh asparagus and langostino tails risotto. — 3 years ago

Clos Siguier

Cahors Malbec 2019

Bought this at Tillmans in Cville while visiting Sarah. Tasted it and immediately reminded on our trip to Toulouse. Peppery, smoky, dry, cherry — a month ago

Redwood Valley Petite Sirah 2016

Heady wild black fruit. Minimal oak and air influence. It holds its fruit tight, but clear and clean. I think this will be magic in ten years. — 3 years ago

Famille Jouffreau

Cahors Malbec 2008

Savory delight - currants, garrigue, tannins. Developing but seemingly early stage even at 15 years. Gastronomic and a terrific pairing with regional foods (braised Toulouse sausages & beans). Perfect provenance for this library release from Fass Selections @Lyle Fass — a year ago

sounds like a great combo. I love love this estate. Does it get any more classic?

@Lyle Fass it doesn’t. Old school & so soulful.

Wallufer Walkenberg Spätlese trocken Riesling 2019

Light, medium yellow. Crystal clear. Red apple nose followed by a palate of apple, citrus, peach and apricot. Wet stones and acid to spare. Wonderful stuff needing aging and food. We had Toulouse sausage, black trumpet mushrooms, sauté onions and pasta. — 2 years ago

Agreed with @Jim Wagonfeld ‘s review. Lovely on day 2. Acid had subsided leaving a stone fruit/mineral accord.
