short breaths will engulf you in all things lime: juice, zest, aid, ice ~ but then deeper breaths allow a spectrum including Granny Smith and Golden Delicious, tonic, minerals, blossoms, rainbow sherbet and orange marmalade resting atop shortbread
it’s like a mix of citrus juices with peach and mango nectar ~ simultaneously sharp acidity and minerality with a nearly creamy sensation ~ perplexing yet ultimately enjoyable — 3 years ago
‘Cool castle bro’ label. Deep red color. Smells like old books, dry cherries and unsweetened chocolate nibs. Flavors are strange with gun-smoke tea, fancy tonic water and berry pies. Plenty dry. Chewy. Complex. Winey, like a Winesap apple. It’s not raisin-y. It could have more depth and bite perhaps, but overall it’s very enjoyable. — 4 years ago
Incredible. Really do you get to drink a wine with some much uniqueness and approachability. Most Chenin (100% Chenin?) from Marie Thibault. I beautiful nose of oyster water, lemon and lavender. The taste opened up into a multidimensional notes of lemon tonic, tea notes, and green apple. A true treat. — a year ago
Topaz with heavenly streamers stretching for perfection. Creamy head of structured perfection in terms of density and longevity. Perfect sheet of fog lacing falls like a slo-mo curtain to reveal layer two of mountain snows reflecting moonlight. Nose of bananas foster in all its blazing brandy and it’s caramelized olfactory topography; a malt image in sensory sepia to match the mountainscape. Nutmeg, cola and pecan dessert vies with baklava. The palate is a revelation in balance. The expected Belgian malt emerges in contrast to a dappled vanilla and Connecticut tobacco, pecan shell dryness, and chicory coffee before returning to a root tonic sweetness, and cardamom. #kwak #belgianspecialbeers #belgianale #belgianbeer #pauwelkwak #pauwelkwakbrewery #beer #bier #birra #biere #ale #ceveza #cerveja #belgium #belgian — 4 years ago
Great gin, even though I am not a fan of cucumber. So, it is certainly great for gin and tonic, but I wont sip it. — 4 years ago
I know nothing about sake. This was smooth, water like with hints of flowers, herbs, gin n tonic like. — 2 years ago
Pale amber with aromas and flavors of fruit, blossom and honey notes. Soft yet rich with lively acidity and nice mineral component. Not overly sweet and ready to drink straight up now, but try with tonic and twist of orange, recipe on label calls for lemon twist, but orange in my opinion is much better.
