enjoyed sharing this one, you can always count on Ridge! — 6 years ago

Napa Chardonnay made with neutral oak. Round and zesty, great because of how not Napa it is. The vineyards are also gorgeous. — 6 years ago
The 2015 Jerusalem Hill Vineyard is another sensation Pinot Noir from the talented team at Domaine Serene. This Eola-Amity Hills bottling begins with bright aromatics of bing cherry, rose water and spice box that connect with earthy undertones. The palate reveals a beautiful texture and a soft, supple mouthfeel with considerable weight, as there is a seamless quality to this wine that utterly impresses. Displaying a wonderful combination of black and red fruits on the palate, this finishes long with cherry cream and minerals leaving an impression. The Jerusalem Hill shows wonderful ageing potential and should continue to evolve beautifully over the course of the next decade. Drink 2019-2035- 94 — 7 years ago
A nice, level-tallied merlot that would pair well with pretty much any piece of meat you could chase down. The tannins are silky and the fruit vey fresh. I'm thinking cherry and red plum here. Not bad at all. — 8 years ago
Sill tightly wound… several hours decanting required. Strawberries and aged balsamic. Prune, raisin, asphalt, iron, port. Delicious. — 3 years ago

Inky color, look at that cork!

Late to post this from Friday night dinner at Gemma (Dallas spot with nice wine list). Surprised to find this one on the list and just had to order. Fortunately they decanted for us, but it was still a little cooler temp than my liking. Overall this is always a pleaser. Still can’t believe this is a second wine for PT. Silky smooth tannins. Approachable now, but will become even more elegant with time in the bottle. Can’t beat this QPR. Napa cab that holds true to Bordeaux style. (Drank 1/3/20) (not my photo) — 6 years ago
Lively, fresh, elegant. Nose of red fruits herbs, and spice. Great balance and acidity. — 7 years ago
Not nearly as sweet as previous vintages (thank God). Fruity, slightly floral, and chalky aromatics. Strong berry fruit and minerality for taste and a crisp finish. I'm currently at a Rose tasting party, and so far this is my fav; I hope it's not sold out. 70% Syrah 18% Grenache 12% Mourvedre — 7 years ago
We opened the bottle for an hour before dinner. Initially a powerful aroma of blackberries flooded the dining room. Slowly it mutated to black and red cherries with earth. Multi layered complexity the wine was an absolute pleasure to drink with. If you look at QPR it would@blow all burgundies out of the water! Simply sensational! — 4 years ago
Trying a 100% Monastrell - quite good. Found at Wegmans of all places. Highly rated by wine spectator. — 4 years ago
Purchased in St. Thomas for $19. A palatable wine at this price point. I’m sure it’s much cheaper at Total Wine. — 5 years ago
Champagne is for celebrating, not that I need a celebratory reason to open a bottle as I am hooked on champagne. 💉
However, after installing 27 solar panels and waiting an additional seven weeks for my Tesla, I/we have almost erased our carbon footprint. Finally picked it up today. I believe we all need to do our part to save the glorious vines that bring so much happiness to our lives. 🍷🥂👍
As for the Baron Fuentes, the is a very good Champange and is perhaps the best QPR out of Champagne at $24.99.
Bright lemon, lime, grapefruit w/ sugar, bruised red apple & pear, touch of ginger & cider, bread dough, baguette crust, sea spray, white spice with some palate heat, sea fossils, grey volcanic minerals, spring flowers, lilacs and yellow lilies. The acidity is bright, crisp and lively. The finish is smartly polished, well balanced and persistent for minutes.
Whoo hoo! So close to carbon free! 🍾🥂 — 6 years ago

have been holding on to this one for a while. It was first stored in a 50 bottle chiller before it was removed and stored in a cellar around 60 degrees. This one is definitely not too far over the hill. Maybe a year or so. That being said, with proper storage I see this one could probably go another five to seven years. Lots of black cherry on the front. Medium-plus bodied. The finish of this wine is quite enjoyable with a little sweet cedar tannin. This wins the award of wine of the day when considering wines that I thought were completely done. The 2007 Silver Oak Alexander valley beat it out by at least two to 3 points. — 7 years ago
2007 petite Syrah - 9.1+dynamite-strong and grippy, bold. I really liked this. I bought 3 bottles of this. $63? — 8 years ago

Voted WOTN for good reason. This has been a bucket list wine for me. Some sections of this famous vineyard were planted in 1860 but all of the vines are ridiculously old. It’s bombastic and really stands out from the crowd. Very expressive both on the nose and on the palate. Full bodied and multi layered. Creamy and rich texture. Dark berries, plums, coffee, cigar, orange peel, eucalyptus, soy, cigar box and an array of oriental spices. Probably at a peak right now, such a joy to drink. — 3 years ago
