Serious cider for serious drinkers... the combination between the apples and noble smoky wood made my day. Fermented to perfection. Dry, tart and smoky with a clean and refreshing finish. It taste like ancient wisdom got thirsty. Can’t get much better than this... IMPERATIVE!!! # To serve, we splash it into the glass, pouring from a very long distance so the cider aerates — if you let it linger too long in the glass, the aeration gets lost and the cider won’t be enjoyable to drink. — 8 years ago

Was lucky enough to be invited over to a friends house one night for wine. Was really surprised when she brought out this bottle of wine. Her mother-in-law had passed away and had a pretty good selection of wines left over. Should have decanted but I was just happy to get a glass. Full of dark berries on the nose. Deep Ruby with concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits and earthy floral spice. The palate shows rich blackberry and tart raspberry, complex, good acidity, balance and depth with ultra-smooth tannins. The long finish ended with an earthy and woody spice, cacao, and mushroom, very smooth. I am guessing that this wine is at its peak, so if you are lucky enough to find a bottle, get the corkscrew! — 6 years ago

Great Texas wine... no that’s not a misprint. The vineyards on Hwy 290 near Fredericksburg are the the new “Napa Valley” of Texas. Just stay away from Texas cabs. Not so good. This bottle is a Tempranillo.. much better suited for Texas climate. — 8 years ago

@Joe Lucca was gracious to set up a virtual tasting for the Wine Nerd Herd with the team from Texture. It was a great evening. The 16 Lucky Well spent over two hours in the decanter-it needed more time. Tightly wound wine that need time to uncoil. Striking texturally with high acid and touches of oak on the finish. I found the almond paste and orchard fruit profiles very pleasing. I taste the attention to detail in this wine. — 6 years ago
