Can't decide if this wine is complex or confusing. Lovely nose opens up to strong hints of olive and pencil shavings. Nice fruit and earthiness hits the palate, but it seems like a cab sometimes, other sips resemble a bold chateauneuf, and other times like a great Bandol. Nice soft mousse body, yellow peach, tropical melons, pineapple, some lemon meringue, lime zest, slightly bitter apple cider, whipped cream, hard chalkiness, alluvial limestone, saline, sea fossils, bread crust, yeastiness, yellow florals, racey acidity, nicely balanced & structured with a finish that lasts 90 seconds.

Only moderately aromatic, barely present dried strawberry and kind of generic cherry aroma. Palate shows this is very well made, with good structure, but also strongly acidic and tannic. May just be shut down and will blossom with time, not sure. — 5 years ago

Wow. Love this Sardinian. The front is big and salty. My favorite with big flavored food. I have not decided on the end yet. This went down with an awesome grilled pork loin seasoned in prunes and Dijon mustard. Side was a very flavorful split pea and onion mash. — 11 years ago
